How to reach Sopot?
Sopot is located on the Baltic coast approximately 350 kilometers north of Warsaw (see the map). You can get to Sopot by air, land and sea.

Gdańsk Lech Walesa Airport -
located 15 km from the Sopot city center, with flights to many cities in Europe.
This is probably the most convenient to reach Sopot from abroad.
From the airport, the symposium venue / hotel can be reached by:
- taking a bus No. 122 (operated by ZTM Gdańsk / BP Tour) which goes directly to Sopot (approx. 45 min). Ticket price is 3 PLN. Please get off at the "Sopot 3 Maja" stop to reach the symposium venue or Hotel Focus (approx. 900 m.), or "Sopot Chopina" stop to reach the Hotel Eden (approx 100 m.). Please note that the bus goes a different way when going back to the airport. The stop "Sopot Sikorskiego" is then very close to the KCIK (200 m.) and Hotel Focus (100 m.).

- taking the suburbian train (operated by SKM - Fast Urban Train) to Gdańsk Wrzeszcz (the initial station, Gdańsk Port Lotniczy, is located next to the airport; the journey lasts 24 min. - 7 stations), then change to another SKM train to Sopot (directions: Gdynia, Rumia, Wejherowo or Lębork; 13 min. - 6 stations; please note, that you should get off at Sopot station - not Sopot Wyścigi or Sopot Kamienny Potok). Some trains goes directly from the Gdańsk Port Lotniczy station to Sopot station. Ticket price is 3.80 PLN for the whole journey. You can buy ticket in the ticket vending machine at the platform, or on the train from the conductor (ask for the "Gdańsk and Sopot area one-way ticket"). The symposium venue is located in the walking distance from the Sopot station. - taking a taxi - approx. 30 min., cost approx. 80 PLN
- Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport - main polish international airport with flights to many cities in Europe, North America, Asia and Africa. From there you can catch a flight to Gdańsk (approx. every 2 hours), or take a bus (No. 175 or N32) or suburbian train or taxi to railway PKP station "Warszawa Centralna", then take a train to Sopot (every 2 hours or less, the journey lasts approx. 3h). Please note, that you are not allowed to enter so called InterCity Premium trains ("Pendolino") without the valid ticket - you must buy it in the box office at the station, or in advance - online.
- PKP - Polish National Railways - direct and frequent connections from Sopot to all major polish cities, also to Berlin. To reach the symposium venue, simply get off at the "Sopot" station. The venue is in a walking distance.
- Polferries - cruises between Gdańsk (10 km from Sopot) and Nynashamn near Stockholm.
- Stena Line - cruises between Gdynia (10 km from Sopot) and Karlskrona.
